EAM

Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is the management of physical assets across the entire lifecycle of the asset. The UniFi enterprise suite of apps to accomplish this task are split into groups, as each major task can use multiple apps. These include:

Asset Management

  • Asset Register - To record the asset details and onboard the asset.
  • Asset Monitor - Scheduled tasks to monitor the health of the asset.
  • Asset Depreciation - To calculate the depreciation and post to the accounting software.

Project Management

  • Project Planning - To plan asset-related projects including capturing the budget and ensuring projects meet organisational goals.
  • Project Monitoring - Creating and assigning monitoring tasks and capturing related information

Inventory Management

  • Issue/Return Parts - Controlling the movement of parts that are necessary within a larger asset.
  • Store Transfer - Moving parts between stores.
  • Stock Take - Periodic recording of physical stock count and making necessary adjustments to inventory held.
  • Supplier return and receipt - Receiving goods from suppliers and returning if necessary.

Purchase Management

  • Purchase Requisition - Request an item.
  • Purchase Order and Receipt - Ordering and receiving items.
  • Purchase Invoice - Entering the invoice and matching to the original order and receipt.
  • Purchasing Contract - Recording and authorising contracts agreed with suppliers.

Work Management

  • Work Orders - Generating, scheduling and assigning work orders for preventative maintenance and other regular tasks.

The EAM Enterprise Suite has various dashboards that allow users to monitor the status of asset and tasks as well as allowing users to easily navigate the system.

These apps were built to be part of the EAM suite, however each app can be made to function independently and can be made available as a foundation app upon request. There is some overlap between the regular foundation apps here, e.g. the purchase invoice app incorporated in the purchase management section above is a version of the original purchase invoice foundation app, specially customised for the EAM requirements.
